She is the founder/director of SOUNDSCAPE (1979-1984) which was the first multi cultural performance venue in NYC.
At different times she managed the careers of Yomo Toro, Youssou Ndour, Salif Keita , Carlinhos Brown and Roswell Rudd.

KERHONKSON FASHIONS features an impressive collection of Vintage Clothing, hats and bags from Verna Gillis’ collection ranging from 1890 – 1980.
KERHONKSON FASHIONS has created its own line of “One of a Kind” clothing using parts of the collection to reinvent usage and design. There are lined sack dresses; apron skirts; Slip ons – Vintage slips as outdoor wear; Bustiers converted to dresses by adding skirts fashioned from curtains and other
fabulous remnants.
The 1900 - 1950's collection features museum and collector's items as well as unique one of a kind dresses, blouses and skirts.
